His past work has appeared in Esquire, The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Guardian, Outside Magazine, LA Times, San Francisco Magazine, and others.

He spent years writing sports and culture features, some of which were cited in The Best American Sports Writing. Some of his favorite stories he’s reported over the years center around tennis, like this or this. He worked on some other sports, too, like bobsled.

He Led several investigations during his years as a reporter, with some pieces like this , this, and this winning regional and national journalism awards.

Nick’s received grants and awards from The Knight Foundation, Investigative Reporters and Editors, the Newmark School, Columbia Journalism, Wallace House, and others.

He WAS a founding team member of a production company with several dozen projects in development with Netflix, APPLE TV, Focus Features, and others.
